An interesting dilema about a non interested friend.
Well over a month ago, I met up with a friend. We got on really well and thought we had a lot in common, but during a quick lunch at a pub, we literally ran out of meaningful things to say to each other. I could have tried harder, as I guess my mate could have, but it was fruitless to try when there is bigger and better bounty to be found elsewhere.
I wish my friend well, and I wish to see my friend again one day and perhaps then, we’ll have something interesting to say to each other.

So are you saying that your friend wasn’t really worth talking to cause he/she didn’t have a anything meaningful to say to you at that time??
Why do conversations HAVE to be meaningful. Your friend may have had something on their mind and deep discussions were too much on this occasion and the fact that you felt that it was ‘FRUITLESS to try and there was better bounty to be found elsewhere’ just tells me that you are a shallow, superficial taker who is only out for what he can get!! Perhaps your friend saw through you!!
