Every Tuesday evening, I meet up with people from my church and we talk about our faith. This evening was slightly different in that we are asked to give real life experiences about how (and hasn’t) affected our very real lives.

What struck me was the sense of purpose and belonging these people had. Some of their stories were obviously from the heart and had a very earthly grounding, much of the evening was about overcoming the obstacles which life (and mainly people) have put in front of us. Many people do very well without God, and I genuinely salute them. However, for most of us who aren’t put together that way I shall say a prayer for you all. And like this evening, I prayer those heavy cold tears are wiped away.
