Model studio photoshoot with Canon 5D Mk2
0As much as I love shooting weddings, I like to relax by taking studio shots of beautiful people. This shot is of my friend Charli Keeler. See more of Charli on my portrait photography site. Link here…
The more I use the 5D Mark 2, the more I realise how close it performs to my Nikon D3. I am very close to saying it’s a better camera than the D3.
Baby video taken with Canon 5D Mark 2
2A good friend recently gave birth to a boy called Noah. So naturally I wanted to take a few photos. Surprisingly I took the Canon 5D Mark 2 with me and not my trusty Nikon D3. The reason? Because I still believe the Canon 5D MK2 is still the best all round camera (if you include the video feature). I believe I can take better images with my Nikon D3, however it doesn’t have the video feature that I so crave. Since having access to the 5D I’ve used every opportunity I can to take photos AND video.
Anyway, enough technical stuff. I hope you like this little video I created using the 5D. I shoot in full HD at 24fps (60fps blows). It was edited on an iMac 24″ using Final Cut Pro 6. Oops, sorry. That was a bit more techno-babble!
All the videos I take is just for fun. I enjoy it, but I obviously don’t do it professionally…yet. I’m still learning.

Jacob’s Turn. A great short story shot with Canon 5d Mark ii
0While researching video taken with the Canon 5D Mk2 I ran across this amazing story of a kid called Jacob and how he and the small town community is adapting to his Down Syndrome.
Pocket Legends, an addictive MMO for iPad.
0Just a quick post to tell you about a game I’ve installed on my iPad for ages but only recently rediscovered. Pocket Legends can best described as World of Warcraft for Apple devices. The control system is very simple, it’s just point to a space in the environment and your character will move. Combat is a case of selecting a power or weapon and your character will automatically attack the nearest enemy.
Synology DS1010+ video overview

Worth watching because he’s striped it naked! Personally, I don’t like exposing my bits like that on video , well not so early on anyway
