Call you what you want, but walking around busy urban areas with a SLR camera is dangerous these days. People either think you’re terrorists or think you’re a pedophile on the loose. However this guy Bruce Gilden is legendary for how he shoots Street Photography. Just watch this short documentary about him taking photos in…

As much as I love shooting weddings, I like to relax by taking studio shots of beautiful people. This shot is of my friend Charli Keeler. See more of Charli on my portrait photography site. Link here… The more I use the 5D Mark 2, the more I realise how close it performs to my…

Yes, once more I’m back on my Canon Vs Nikon video SLR rant again. Canon have recently released their budget SLR aim at the amateur. I can’t vouch for the photography quality as I think they pretty much trounce Nikon at the lower end anyway, however their video is far superior to anything Nikon have…

In one of my recent weddings I photographed, I managed to squeeze in a few moments to capture some video footage, stuck it together using Final Cut Pro in under 30 minutes and added a soundtrack by my very good friend Gary Mullins who happens to be an amazing guitarist. The NIkon D90 isn’t the…

Found this great video explaining the differences between these two giants of the SLR world. I’m a Nikon photographer so obviously I wanted the D3s to smoke the Canon, however the 1D does have some amazing qualities that I would love to have in my weapons bag! Engadget have posted an interesting article about the Nikon D300s. It sits between the amateur Nikon D90 and the Semi-pro Nikon D700. I already have the D300, however there is not enough difference to justify the minor upgrade. To be honest, if I was coming into Digital SLRs fresh, then I would go for the…

I was speaking to another Tech Gear Head this evening about the iPad and what it meant. He suggested that it right now it doesn’t fit anywhere and is creating a market all of its own. But what does this mean for Photographers? For amateurs I can’t say; it is an investment regardless if Steve…

Nice. My friend and I exchanged these gifts (I got him a Canon one; he got me a Nikon one – as we’re Canon and Nikon photographers, respectively) for Xmas last year. I haven’t recieved mine in the post yet but it was sent this week. I should recieve it soon. I don’t think too many people have seen these, so I look forward to walking about with this lens and then sitting in front of some people and much to their dismay, drinking out of it when they see it as a lens – so I guess showing off with it. XD
