Tears and God

Every Tuesday evening, I meet up with people from my church and we talk about our faith. This evening was slightly different in that we are asked to give real life experiences about how (and hasn’t) affected our very real lives.
What struck me was the sense of purpose and belonging these people had. Some of their stories were obviously from the heart and had a very earthly grounding, much of the evening was about overcoming the obstacles which life (and mainly people) have put in front of us. An interesting dilema about a non interested friend.

Well over a month ago, I met up with a friend. We got on really well and thought we had a lot in common, but during a quick lunch at a pub, we literally ran out of meaningful things to say to each other. I could have tried harder, as I guess my mate could have, but it was fruitless to try when there is bigger and better bounty to be found elsewhere.
I wish my friend well, and I wish to see my friend again one day and perhaps then, we’ll have something interesting to say to each other.
